A Review of the HP Photosmart Plus Wireless e-All-in-One Printer (CN216A#B1H)

As a photography enthusiast, I am very fond of printing pictures. Before, I had to have my pictures printed in shops. But when photo printers were released, I got the privilege of printing at the ease of my own home. One of my favorite photo printers is HP Photosmart Plus Wireless e-All-in-One Printer (CN216A#B1H). I have taken the time to share with you my interest with this device, so I have written this review.

Design

As a printer, the aesthetics of this model are very attractive. It has a black appearance which matches perfectly with any home décor or room design. It’s also a very compact device with the dimensions of 17.8’’ x 15.79’’ x 7.83’’ and a weight of 16.4 pounds. You can easily settle it in any tabletop, desktop, computer table, or shelf.

It’s a very easy-to-use device with a 3.45’’ CGD touch screen with a TouchSmart control panel. You no longer have to worry about so many buttons. Everything you need to control your printing activity can be accessed with a simple flick of a finger.

Printing and Other Functions

As a Photosmart printer, it’s specially designed for excellent photograph printing. But it’s also a great document printer. It can print up to 32 pages per minute for black-ink documents while it can print 31 pages per minute for colored documents. It doesn’t have duplex or back-to-back printing though, but that’s not advisable at all for printing photos.

The photo printer can print borderless up to letter size papers (8.5’’ x 11’’). You can print photos and other files directly without the use of a PC by simply inserting memory cards on the available slots, giving you extended printing use and additional storage media options.

Because it’s an all-in-one device, it can also perform scanning and copying tasks. The flatbed scanner of this model has a bit depth of 24-bit, and can scan a maximum document size of 8.5’’ x 11.7’’ which is limited to letter size bond papers and A4 size papers. Any bigger documents scanned are cut at the dimensions which the scanner can only read. So if you’re looking for a poster scanner or something similar to that, this probably isn’t the device you’re looking for.

The copier has a speed almost similar to the printing speed, but the color printing is reduced to 30 pages per minute. The copier lets you reproduce a maximum number of 50 copies for a single document. You can also reduce and enlarge the copies that you produce with a rate of as small as 25% to as big as 400%.

Other Features

The wireless printer is very easy to share with other computers. You just have to connect it to a wireless network through a router, and you can access it from any computer in your home. You can also print from smart phones and other Wi-Fi enabled devices. And because it’s an Energy Star qualified device, using it not only provides benefits for you but also for Mother Nature, as compared to using another printer.

Conclusion

So far, I have not had any problems with using this printer, and I also get a lot of functionality from scanning and copying. I no longer have to print my photos in a shop, and I can even print upstairs while the printer is in the family room downstairs. For me, this is one of the best photo printers I have ever had, and I have owned a good few. I can say that the HP Photosmart Plus Wireless e-All-in-One Printer (CN216A#B1H) is a remarkable device, and I myself am very confident to recommend it to anyone who needs the services of an excellent photo printer.
